Legal and documentation problems can leave migrant workers particularly vulnerable.
Videsh Mitra aims to connect workers with appropriate legal professionals, government authorities, Indian Missions and other competent organisations for issues such as:
- Employment disputes
- Unpaid wages
- Contract-related problems
- Passport/document issues
- Immigration-related difficulties
- Recruitment fraud
- Labour rights concerns
- Exploitation and abuse
- Trafficking and forced labour
We do not replace government authorities, embassies, police, courts or licensed legal professionals. Our role is to facilitate access, coordination and support.
